At cVation we work in-depth with a wide array of technology domains. It has been a great opportunity for me to identify my core interests and then work to specialize my skills.
Jens Rasmussen, Lead Data Scientist
How was your first time working at cVation?
I found an infectiously ambitious and technically engaging leadership and an informal workplace.
What do you do on a daily basis, and what kind of assignments do you work with?
I work with the team that develop IMTC.com. It analyzes bonds on the American securities market by using data mining and Machine Learning.
What assignments are particularly motivating?
There are great opportunities for professional development, due to the diversity of projects and tasks. Also there are options and budgets for for study groups, certifications, courses, conferences and workshops with Microsoft.
How is the collaboration between you and your colleagues?
The average age here is low. There’s a good atmosphere at the office, and people are always ready to help one another across teams. People are also, naturally, professionally curious, so we’re quick to try new technologies. I like that.
Are there growth and development opportunities for you and your team?
There are good opportunities for professional development due to the variety of tasks we have. For example, with study groups or certifications. On a personal level, two years ago, a side project of mine resulted in the creation of my current position. Since then, I have acquired new knowledge and developed a new set of capabilities by using time to learn about the bond-trading domain.
Do you have an impact on decisions related to your assignments, role, and so on?
Yes. People are generally open to new suggestions - and new ideas are often tried out. My colleagues and I identify and prioritize our tasks in close collaboration with the management.
